TEEN BROKE THE LAW
The death of 14-year-old Ashley Villarreal in a drug stakeout raises
interesting questions.
Why was the family not concerned that a 14-year old was "planning to move
the car to the back of the house" when, by Texas law, a driver must be at
least 15 to even have a learner's permit?
Why wasn't the 44-year-old man in the car arrested for allowing a 14-year
old to drive? Ashley's family allowed her to break the law and thrust her
into her unfortunate position. If Ashley and her family had obeyed the law,
she would be alive today.
