WHAT'S WORSE?
Two items in Watchdog and the Week in Review (2/7/03), when placed together,
make for an interesting social commentary. A 24-year old woman is sentenced
to 12 years, seven months in prison for unspecified drug charges. A 29-year
old man is sentenced to 12 years, six months for the hit and run death of a
jogger on a county highway. So, if I'm to understand this news correctly, it
is a worse thing to be caught in the possession of drugs than it is to kill
another human being with your car.
