WHAT ABOUT HEROIN TRADE?

Today I admitted another patient to the hospital. His illness is a direct
result of his chronic use of intravenous heroin. So once again, I found
myself wondering, "Why don't we ever hear about drug busts of major heroin
dealers?"

There is no lack of heroin in this state. You can buy it at parties and at
public parks. The patient I admitted to the hospital admits that he "shoots
up" every day, and he seems to have no problem getting his "fix." So, where
are the police? Where are the drug busts? We hear, over and over, that
"this" meth lab was closed down, or "that" marijuana grower was caught, but
when do we ever hear about busts of major heroin dealers? Considering that
heroin dealers specialize in long-term clients, they shouldn't be hard to
trace. Is there some reason that heroin dealers are rarely arrested?
