FELGER TAKES ON COURT, POLITICS

Outspoken marijuana activist Tim Felger has set his sights on Randy White
and Parliament Hill - that is, once he gets through this nasty little court
case.

This week Felger was at a preliminary hearing on charges he was ran a
marijuana growing operation on his Bradner Road property. The hearing,
which will establish whether or not Crown counsel has a case to go to
trial, ran Tuesday and Wednesday and is scheduled for a third day in March.

Felger's home was raided by the Emergency Response Team in January 2002 and
charges of cultivation and possession of stolen property were laid against
Felger, Patricia Felger and Edward Larson. Charges were later stayed
against Patricia Felger.

"I'm confident we're going to beat the Abbotsford Police Department in
court," Tim Felger said. "There were six officers there testifying and, at
the end of it, they're going to lose."

Felger then announced that he will seek the Langley-Abbotsford member of
Parliament's seat in any upcoming federal election.

"I'm going to spend every day and every month reading, preparing to debate
[incumbent MP] Randy White," Felger said.

As a Marijuana Party candidate he will rail against marijuana prohibition
and said police spending time in court to convict him was a waste of resources.

He took issue with the U.S. war on Iraq and White's stance on federal drug
policy.

"Anybody who can get 30 joints outta an ounce of pot doesn't know how to
roll a fatty," Felger said in relation to the government's consideration of
decriminalizing possession of 30 grams of pot for personal use.

He said he has already started having signs printed.

No date has yet been set for a federal election.

"I have a completely different view of what goes on than people," Felger
said. "I think I can point these things out to people."
