JOHN ASHCROFT WRONG TO FOCUS ON DRUG WAR

While Americans were out buying duct tape and plastic wrap to protect
themselves from a supposedly imminent terrorist attack, the Department of
Justice was focusing its efforts on busting online paraphernalia shops. Why
don't we just tell the terrorists, "Give us your best shot! We have duct
tape." Does the threat of pipe purchases trump the mass killing of American
citizens? The answer is a resounding yes, if you're a drug war addict.
Attorney General John Ashcroft is addicted to the high of putting anyone
associated with pot in a cage. He will do anything to feed his addiction,
even put the American public at risk. Just because it feels good, Mr.
Ashcroft, doesn't mean you should do it.
