IF HE LIKES U.S. DRUG LAWS, HE CAN MOVE

We read Solicitor-General Rich Coleman's comments in yesterday's Province,
comparing our marijuana laws to America's.

We were alarmed. He appeared to be advocating the tough fines, prison terms
and seizure of assets that U.S. drug authorities have at their disposal in
their war on drugs.

Whose side is he on, anyway??Is he an American loyalist in our midst?

The American drug policy (marijuana and other drugs) has been a total
disaster for their society, causing high rates of organized crime, rampant
drug use, an enormous waste of police resources and incarceration of "drug"
criminals.

Coleman's views do not reflect our society or the wishes of the voters of
British Columbia. He should either resign as Solicitor-General, keep quiet
on the marijuana issue or, better yet, move to America if he loves their
society so much.
