POT DOC A CANADIAN HERO, NOT A COMMON CRIMINAL

Dear Editor,

Dr. Hornby (News, March 6) contends he is a scientist, not a criminal but
what did the court discover?

- - He was growing for the ill of Canada's largest compassion club

- - He was testing the strains and providing research

- - He held a valid licence to test cannabis. In other words, he is committed
and qualified to do what the government is supposed to - supply clean, safe
medicine to our ill population.

Too bad the judge did not understand why he is a hero and give him an
absolute discharge.
