POINT WELL MADE (1 of 3)
Dear Editor:
Re: Chris Buors' letter to the editor, March 12, Airdrie Echo.
And so the debate goes on! In my March 5 letter to the editor, I
specifically stated "mature, employed, consenting adults in the privacy of
their own home" -- mature, consenting, employed being the key words here.
As for the Web site and the book, let's just say that the ugly reality
experienced across the country by dedicated police, EMS, ERs and many
facets in the social structure in its entirety could fill pages from here
to the West Coast.
A vehicle or a piece of machinery is just as volatile a weapon whether it's
being operated by a raging drunk or a "passively stoned" cool dude.
As per Chris in Winnipeg, Jefferson was an American and if their laws,
morals and views are what you, Chris, as a "libertarian" want to live by,
then let's all live by those rules and standards. Including giving me the
right to bear arms and protect my family and property with whatever force
deemed necessary.
That way, if I catch somebody in my house or backyard selling my children
illegal substances, I can handle the situation accordingly.
Understand my point now, Chris?
