GOVERNMENT'S PRIORITY SHOULD NOT BE ADDICTS BUT ANIMALS

Editor, The Record:

I want to know why the government has its priorities mixed up, and I would
like to know if I am the only one who shares this opinion. I want to know
why funding is available for safe housing and the animal shelters are
closing down. Why do the animals who can not speak or do for themselves
have to suffer with having no home or food?

The addicts have been doing their drugs in the alleys for many years now
and I don't agree with supporting their habit by housing them. If they want
help, they have places to go for it.

But animals have nowhere to go. I am grossed out by the priority levels of
the government and the bad choices that being made. I am just glad to say I
am not one of the ones who voted for them because I wouldn't look like a
fool after the fact.

I think the government should find some other way of basically feeding the
addicts their drugs and help out the ones (animals) who can't do it for
themselves.

I would rather pay money to help out animals than addicts and I think
society should as well considering some part made the overpopulated animal
world that way by not being responsible owners and spaying or neutering
their animals.
