Dear MAPsters,

A great deal is being written about how the Internet has enabled the
creation and nurturing of new, online communities. I believe when the
history of drug policy reform is written, the MAP community will be
identified as a critical component of this social change.

All of us involved with MAP are dedicated to our work. We each have
taken on the job that suits us. I, for example, am a devoted
NewsHawk, sometime letter writer, and full time reader and
disseminator of information in the MAP database. I'm only somewhat
aware of what others do but know that we are a well synchronized unit
that puts out an incredible resource.

It's especially gratifying to know that people in the media rely on
our product to keep themselves informed about drug policy. And, the
database has been invaluable to me in my efforts to educate the Reform
Jewish community on the critical issue of medical marijuana.
