CANNABIS LICENSE?

CONGRATULATIONS must go to Health Minister Bob Kucera for doing what most
politicians find impossible - learning from his mistakes. The Government's
Cannabis Control Bill is an excellent step towards equality in our State's
drug policies.

May I suggest an annual licence to grow cannabis, at a cost of about $300,
to allow the police to know exactly where all registered plants are, thus
taking out any criminal element? Can the Government give me an assurance
that police found guilty at the royal commission of any drug offences will
have their assets taken away from them under the draconian confiscation
laws - like other members of society?
