I AGREE

I AGREE with Jamie Batrick (Letters, 27/3) that the Government is to be
congratulated on its introduction of the cannabis control Bill.

I am an age pensioner and I would be happy to pay $100 a year for a licence
to grow cannabis for my exclusive use. I hae arthritis in my hands and I
can't take prescription drugs like anti-inflammatories because they give me
bad indigestion.

Since watching the Four Corners program last year which explained how
cannabis relieves the pain of migraine headaches and arthritis (which are
killing me), I have been waiting for a way to take cannabis without
breaking the law.

I don't smoke so I will have to suffuse the cannabis leaf in hot water,
like making tea.
