LECTURE GIVES STUDENTS MISINFORMATION ABOUT DRUGS
To the Cigar,
The following statements made by Roger F. Jadosz, R.N. in the Wednesday,
March 26 edition of the Cigar are not true.
"Jadosz also briefly mentioned energy drinks saying that drinking just one
Red Bull is the same as consuming two cups of coffee. It contains effedrine
and caffeine among other natural substances."
Red Bull does not contain "effedrine" (meaning ephedrine), it contains taurine.
In regards to MDMA - "It is an extreme euphoria like never before," Jadosz
explained. "It's so unique it has to be in a class on it's own. It's
compared with mescaline."
Mescaline is a hallucinogen. MDMA does not produce hallucinations. Any
comparisons between the two are based upon limited subjective emotional
effects.
