Burmese WMDs

The Burmese resistance is grateful to Rena Pederson for taking the time and
making the effort to illustrate the sad and tragic situation in Burma
("Giving a voice to Burma," April 6 Sunday Reader).

A negotiated political settlement is not possible with evil regimes. It is
my hope that Ms. Pederson's outstanding article will prompt the Bush
administration to include the narco-dictatorship in Burma on its axis of
evil list.

Burmese heroin, which accounts for 60 percent of heroin sold in New York
City, is also a weapon of mass destruction.
