42 POLICE HELD IN DRUG SALES TO YOUTHS
Federal and state agents arrested 42 police officers in central Mexico for
allegedly selling drugs to schoolchildren, government officials said Friday.
The arrests were made in Ecatepec, a city of nearly 3 million people on the
outskirts of Mexico City, state Attorney General Alfonso Navarrete said.
The officers allegedly were selling marijuana and cocaine to students at
elementary and high schools, as well as in some small convenience stores,
investigators said.
