MARIJUANA: PROHIBITION NO SOLUTION EITHER
Dear Editor,
Rob Wilton [Legalization is no solution, April 11 Letters to the Editor,
Langley Advance News] theorized that "People who think legalizing marijuana
is a solution to anything," such as our Special Senate Committee on Illegal
Drugs, "can't see past their habit."
Cannabis has been prohibited in Canada since 1923. Quite obviously
prohibition is not a solution to anything either, unless Wilton is
proposing we give it another 80 years to show beneficial results.
