JUSTICE LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM BEHIND BARS

If each of us who believes "Time is on justice's side in Tulia" could
experience four years in prison on a bum rap, maybe we could say that time
brought justice - if time spent in prison means nothing to us.

Or if it was someone else's time.

I thought Dave Henry's April 13 column was a glib and easy sidestep of the
realities surrounding that gross miscarriage of justice.

I, too, hope that these events will bring a little more justice into the
futures of overly eager "justice" systems. But let us ask the people whose
families' lives were turned inside out, whose reputations will be haunted
for years by these unfair convictions:

Do they feel time has brought them justice?

I do not see how they could.

I know I would not.
