THE COLOR OF CRIME

Re "Quitting our addiction to narcs who only bust blacks," Op-Ed, April 14:
It continues to bother me when people support those who do wrong only
because they are of a specific race. I do not see whites defending Charles
Manson because of his skin color. Some racist skinheads have found a
fondness for Hitler, but most white Americans do not.

People who cannot admit that black drug dealers hurt the black community
and instead try to blame their arrests on racism need a reality check.
Contrary to what some want to believe, most convictions are based upon
crimes committed, and not upon race.

One should not support bad people within a community, regardless of race.
Accepting personal responsibility is the key to progress in society.
