FAMOUS WRESTLER RECOGNIZED BY CANADIAN GOVERNMENT
Canadian Heritage Minister Sheila Copps recently honoured world-famous
wrestler Tiger Jeet Singh of Milton with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. Singh received the award April 13 for promoting Canadian culture
around the world and for launching a 'drug-free' campaign.
Senator Laurier Lapierre presented the award, praising Mr. Singh for
his war against drugs.
In his acceptance speech, an emotional Mr. Singh dedicated his
Lifetime Achievement Award to the entire Punjabi community in Canada.
