BENNETT SHOULD PRACTICE WHAT HE PREACHES

I'm writing about your thoughtful May 7 editorial: "Bennett's gambling
doesn't negate his points on virtue."

I'm more than willing to let Bennett alone to enjoy or suffer from his vices.

I just wish Bennett was willing to to do the same to others who have vices
that harm on one except themselves. As U. S. Drug Czar, Bennett insisted
that casual recreational drug use was a moral issue and insisted that the
government intervene and punish those involved.

Perhaps to be left alone, Bennett should advocate that others be left alone
to enjoy or suffer from their own vices.
