CANNABIS CAFE PLANS TO RELOCATE
Saint John, N.B. (CP) - New Brunswick's recently opened Cannabis Cafe plans
on moving to a more visible, street-level location in the city's downtown.
Jim Wood, owner of the Saint John cafe, said Tuesday the cafe's current
location on the second floor in a downtown Saint John building is hard to find.
The coffee house is believed to be the province's first pot-smoking
optional cafe. It doesn't sell drugs but provides a venue for adult
customers to smoke in a social setting.
Police have not laid any charges against customers.
Customers have not seemed too worried about the consequences of being
caught, particularly at a time when possession charges are being thrown out
of provincial courts across the country.
