MR. BENNETT'S SPENDING HABITS
William Bennett's spending habits are no one's business and of little or no
consequence to society. Further, the fact that he gambles or fails to live
up to some of his own standards does not nullify his First Amendment right
to speak or write about anything he chooses, including moral conduct.
On this subject, the virtues of protecting personal freedom and privacy
from the conformist pressures of a relentless, probing public eye should
reign supreme.
