FIX WENT OVER WELL

To the editor:

As a local organizer responsible for bringing the movie Fix to the
Okanagan, I want to thank the citizens of the Kelowna area who attended the
film and the community forums which followed seven of the shows at the
Paramount Theatre.

It was interesting to note that only one elected councillor that we are
aware of chose to attend any of the forums--our thanks to Sharon Shepherd,
for once again showing her leadership on behalf of city hall.

The forum speakers included street nurses, front-line workers, recovering
and ex-addicts, a physician, and community service managers who all
volunteered their time and expertise to bring local answers to tough
questions being asked by the audience.

My thanks again to everybody involved in bringing Fix to the Okanagan
Valley and making the show a greater success than we had anticipated.
