CANNABIS
FURTHER to the article "Cannabis risky relief from stroke effects" ( ODT,
13.5.03). Epilepsy New Zealand is aware of some documented reports of the
apparent medicinal benefits, in some instances, from cannabis use, such as
articles posted on www.epilepsy.org.uk and an article written for an
Australian epilepsy agency. As an organisation, Epilepsy New Zealand does
not condone the use of cannabis and would take a dim view of advice given
by a field officer in an official capacity.
