US LOSING THE WAR ON DRUGS
To the editor:
I agree with Alan Randell (Delta Democrat Times - May 13) "The Fraud Of The
Drug War" letter on prohibition is a sin.
In particular, caging humans for using cannabis, is against the teachings
of Christ God our father.
The U.S. has tried every prohibitionist trick in the book and still can not
even pretend the war on drugs is successful.
Indeed, supporting prohibition leads exactly to what we have. Spending more
money on the war on drugs is not going to ever change the damage that
prohibition creates, which is worse than the substances prohibited.
