QUEBEC MAN ADMITS HAVING ECSTASY TABLETS
CANTON - A St. Regis, Quebec, man who was caught with more than 1,000
ecstasy tablets at the border in September pleaded guilty Wednesday in
St Lawrence Court to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled
substance.
Wesley J. Oakes, 18 was arrested Sept. 14 at U.S. Customs in Massena
by St Lawrence County Drug Task Force members after U.S. Custom agents
found the ecstasy and $63,010 in his minivan. As part of Wednesday's
agreement, he is to forfeit the cash. He will be sentenced July 12.
