IT'S ANOTHER TAX GRAB
Are we really kidding ourselves with the new decriminalization plan the
feds have laid out for us?
If any Canadian cannot see this as a way for the government to grab some
new tax dollars down the road from an alternate source (since cigarette
revenues are pretty close to illegal) then we need to take our heads out of
the sand.
You can be sure this is simply the first step in introducing marijuana as
another recreational drug, just like alcohol, which will soon feed the
coffers of our country.
Twenty years ago, it would have been inconceivable to think that VLTs and
casinos would save our health care, farms etc., and you can bet (pardon the
pun) that we'll be saying the same thing about weed 20 years from now.
