COMMUNISTS, NOT CONSERVATIVES, WOULD FAVOR POT PROHIBITION

I'm writing about Robert Cooper's not-so-thoughtful letter June 12,
"Liberals never cease to amaze."

How Cooper manages to equate our government's policy of marijuana
criminalization, which is essentially a policy of our government
dictating to its adult citizens which substances we may or may not
consume - even in the privacy of our own homes with WWII, Hitler and
communism, is beyond me.

It seems to me that prohibition is a policy that communists would
favor - not "true" conservatives. "True" conservatives believe our
government should protect us from our enemies - not ourselves.
