PROPOSED POT LAWS SEND WRONG MESSAGE

To the Editor:

Re: The legalization and/or decriminalization of marijuana.

I am grieved and disappointed with our government in even considering
decriminalizing marijuana.

This is a dangerous and slippery road to be on, especially with our youth.
We are sending mixed messages of right and wrong not only to our youth but
to our children.

I really can't understand at all why this legalization is even an issue. We
try hard to keep our youth from cigarettes -- only to given them a joint.

We try hard to keep drinking out of the cars and off the road -- only to
give them a joint?
