PROHIBITION ALTERS ECONOMY
Dear Editor,
Actually, its marijuana prohibition that alters the economy [Pot alters
economy, June 6 Letters to the Editor, Langley Advance News].
If marijuana were legal, it would be worth what other easy-to-grow weeds
are worth. Very little.
By insisting that marijuana remain a criminalized product, our governments
are squandering hundreds of billions dollars in potential tax revenue.
Now marijuana is untaxed, unregulated, and controlled by criminal gangs.
It's time to end this insanity.
