THREE STRIKES

I commend the 9th Circuit Solicitor's office for pressing forward with the
three strikes prosecution of persistent drug dealers as was reported in the
recent Mount Pleasant case. Drug dealers are nothing less than parasites
that prey upon the weak and disadvantaged in society, and they deserve
nothing less than life sentences.

As for the liberal whiners who complain that harsh sentences don't deter
crime, they just don't get it. The value of life sentences is not
deterrence. The value of three strikes and two strikes life sentences is
that they get assorted human garbage off the streets forever, so the rest of
us who obey the law can raise our families in a decent manner.
