FAULTY TO LINK POT, RISK-TAKING
Re: Teen pot-smokers also risk-takers
The article on risk-taking behaviour and cannabis use was interesting for
what it concealed. True, those who engage in "risky" behaviour also smoked
pot. It would have been interesting if the study had asked pot smokers what
percentage of them had engaged in the "risky" behaviours. I speculate that
most pot smokers do not engage in these activities.
The article implies that most juvenile delinquents smoke pot, therefore,
most pot smokers are delinquents. This is illogical, along the lines of:
Most police officers are men, therefore, most men are police officers. I
would be interested in seeing a more thorough examination of the statistics.
