PROHIBITION UNCONSTITUTIONAL, PROMOTES CRIME
EDITOR: Wednesday's letter to the editor of the Johnson City Press (June
11, Rights Violated for Politics) is right on target.
Anyone who would wage a war against Americans ought to be shown that they
underestimate the enemy.
The truth is becoming increasingly clear to the public: Prohibition is
unconstitutional, increases crime and creates wealth for criminals on both
sides of the law.
Kudos to the mainstream media for finally exposing the treasonous fraud
known as "War on Drugs."
If your boss tells you to lie, the right thing to do is tell him no or
quit. And if you are a prosecutor, please note that those who increase
crime are criminals, and go do your job.
Granted, it risks your pension to put drug warriors in jail. But it would
send a message to kids that not all government employees are profiteering
hypocrites.
