DRUG DEALERS DESERVE MAXIMUM JUDICIAL PENALTIES

This letter is especially for the prosecuting attorney's office and Judge
Joel August. I am outraged at how the judicial system is being operated on
Maui. You can grow hundreds of marijuana plants, deal marijuana, cook meth,
and sell meth and get away with the lightest sentence possible.

The prosecutor's office will allow you to plea for a lighter sentence and
judges will sentence you to serve your jail time on the weekends. Give me a
break.

The criminals who operate drug organizations are laughing at you guys. They
all know the tricks to the game. Maybe they found God. Maybe they use their
kids that they never take care of as the reason they needed to make more
money. Maybe they scapegoat their friends or family members as the real
culprits.

Whatever their excuses are, I strongly believe the sentence should be the
maximum allowed, not weekends in Maui Community Correctional Center.

These people are poisoning our children and ruining our community with their
poisons! Only judges Joseph Cardoza and Eric Romanchek seem to understand
this.
