HIGHER THINKING

Responses To Bode Olakanmi's June 27 Column, "Ending The War On Drugs With Decriminalization?"

Thank you for your contribution to help bring needed credible drug-law
reform. Polls show 40 percent of Americans support cannabis (marijuana)
legalization and 70-plus percent support decriminalization, and that number
is growing, because of education.

Biblically, medically, and recreationally, many citizens use cannabis
responsibly and are tired of various forms of government discrimination and
deceit directed toward them.

The most inspiring reasons to re-legalize cannabis are biblical, where
cannabis is thought of as a plant, not a drug. Prohibiting man from access
to cannabis is uncivilized, not just to me but to Christ God Our Father,
the Ecologician, who sent me and told us all the seed-bearing plants were
good, on literally the very first page of the Bible.
