CITY EXTENDS HELP TO EX-DRUG TRAFFICKERS

THE City Government yesterday said that it will provide assistance and lend
logistical support to the alleged drug pushers and users who voluntary
surrendered. City Administrator Melchor Quitain has tasked the General
Services Office to assist Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in
extending help to the surrenderees, as ordered by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

The mayor earlier said that the city is willing to provide assistance to
those who voluntary surrendered, including the rehabilitation and post
rehabilitation skills and training seminar.

Col. Wilkins Villanueva assured Quitain that the support given by the Mayor
and the city would be utilized properly as they are also pleased with the
great turnout of surrenderees. "Madalaw man lang nila at makita ang ginagawa
natin, ayos na yun. At least alam nila na ginagawa natin ang trabaho natin"
he said of the city's support. (CIO)
