STOUDAMIRE HAS HARMED NOBODY
To the Editors of The Oregonian:
Damon Stoudamire has harmed nobody except potentially himself. ("DAMON
HARSHES HIS MELLOW" (7-09-03).He doesn't need treatment or jail time any
more than coffee addicts need treatment or jail time.
Coffee can kill you, marijuana cannot. (If we drink 65 cups of coffee in one
day, half of us will dies as a result).
If coffee were taken off the legitimate market and criminalized, we would
soon have coffee related crime, coffee lords and coffee cartels.
And politicians protecting our children from the evils of coffee.
