IN SHORT
B. HUDNOTT (Letters, 11/7), insists that the only way to find a cure for
heroin addiction is to treat it the same way as addictions such as alcohol,
smoking and gambling. Did I miss something? Has drinking, smoking and
gambling been cured by their addition to the list of medical problems? With
all the information available today on the dangers of these social problems
it would seem that there is no cure, B. Hudnott, there is only prevention
and that is - choose not to start.
