THE REAL THREAT IS ICE
Editor:
Where are the weapons of mass destruction? Why can't anyone find them?
Because Iraq is the wrong place to look. There is a huge stockpile of
chemical weapons right here on the Big Island. Chemical weapons, weapons of
mass destruction here on the Big Island? The answer is yes! There are
hundreds of chemical weapons sites here and they are manufacturing and
distributing chemical weapons here everyday.
The weapon of mass destruction is called ice.
Consider this ice or crystal methamphetamine is a chemical that causes
psychosis, paranoia, violence and crime. It can cause permanent brain damage
or even death. It's prevalence is so bad that babies in utero have been
exposed to it. Ice is destroying the heart and soul of our community. Ice is
manufactured primarily for our youth; therefore it undermines our future,
our hope. Ice is causing more damage to our community than international
terrorists.
It causes those who become addicted to it, to act in paranoia, fear,
delusions and violence. It causes those who become addicted to go to any
means to support their habit. It terrorizes their hearts and souls, as they
themselves become terrorists to support their habit. It causes those who
become addicted to waste away, so that they end up resembling a sleep
deprived, malnourished P.O.W. Right now we have a mass casualty situation on
our hands. We are losing the war and not even caring for the wounded
properly.
Although international terrorism is a threat, I am more concerned about the
crime wave that has hit our home because of the terror called ice. This is a
homeland security issue needing a code red priority.
We need to wage a compassionate campaign against ice on many fronts. With
prevention, education aimed at our youth at the forefront. For the walking
wounded we need more treatment facilities. We need a vigilant stance, united
as a community to rid ourselves from this menace. We must go after the
chemical weapon and distribution sites.
I would rather we find the weapons of mass destruction here than in Iraq,
because ice is clearly a bigger threat to our way of life and well-being,
than international terrorists.
For those involved in the manufacture and distribution of this hideous
chemical weapon. Well perhaps they are guilty of terrorism? Because the
evidence supports the fact that ice is a chemical weapon of mass
destruction. Therefore Guantanamo Bay Cuba would be a good place to send
them so they may join the other terrorists there.
