SEPARATE HARD DRUGS FROM MARIJUANA
I AM responding to the Saturday, Aug. 2, piece about marijuana being laced
with meth. This is why Holland changed their drug laws in the mid-1970s. It
is called harm reduction. It separates the hard drugs from marijuana. Lo
and behold, it works. Drug use in Holland is half that in the U.S. Most of
Europe has seen the results and is following Holland's way. During alcohol
prohibition, lots of people died from bathtub gin. The only way to keep
this from not happening in the future is to make it legal. Marijuana should
be treated just like alcohol.

(How will this stop dealers from putting meth in marijuana to get
people hooked?)
