DRUG PROBLEMS IN BROOKS

Editor, The Bulletin;

Drugs in Brooks has become a big problem over the past five years. Throughout
my growing up I've only come across a few types of drugs, such as marijuana,
cigarettes and alcohol. These drugs alone are the most widely used depressants
around the world today. I would have to say among these three drugs that I've
experimented with, smoking was the hardest one to quit.

I'm just glad I don't have to be growing up in today's world where pre-teens
are being introduced to Crack Cocaine instead of marijuana. The reality of this
is that crack is harder to quit than smoking.

Crack cocaine has become an epidemic in Brooks, mostly among children and
adults between the ages of 13 and 26.

If you haven't tried this drug, don't, it'll ruin your life. Trust me, I know
people and deal with people everyday who deal with crack addiction and other
addictions to drugs. If you know of someone who is using these drugs please try
to offer them some help before it's too late.

If you need some information on these drugs, or some help getting away from
them you can contact AADAC or the RCMP. I'm sure they would be more than happy
to help you.
