INTERESTED IN PROTECTING ONLY INNOCENT DEALERS?
It is with great amusement that I read of the shenanigans of the Indiana
Civil Liberties Union in your Aug. 8 article concerning phony drug
checkpoints raising legal questions.
According to your article, ICLU Executive Director John Krull is bothered
because the police are "threatening to do something illegal, in the hopes
of pushing people to do an illegal activity."
I guess he really believes that if an innocent person driving down the
interstate sees a police car and a sign, he will get so nervous that he
will do something wrong.
Sorry, I forgot he is only interested in protecting "innocent" dealers
trying to make a living by selling drugs to our children.
