SO LOCK UP 90 MILLION, RIGHT?

Regarding Greg Gardner's letter on Saturday "Drugs were illegal,
right?":

So as a taxpayer, Gardner wants "non-violent drug users" locked up.
For how many of the estimated 90 million Americans who have used an
illegal drug at some time is Gardner willing to pay room and board and
their education on how to become a "real" criminal?

If Gardner has his way, a third of us will be locked up and a third of
us will be guarding prisoners or building prisons.

The only thing we'll lack are taxpayers willing or able to pay the
bill.
