HOGS HELP FIGHT DRUGS
Mississauga's motorcycle enthusiasts are pulling on the leathers and
hopping onto their hogs to help keep young people from taking drugs.
The second annual Poker Run and Show & Shine opens with a two-hour
ride that leaves from The Mississauga News, this Sunday at 9 a.m.
Participants will travel through neighbouring communities before
finishing up Lucy's Seafood Kitchen in Mississauga.
At each stop, riders will receive a playing card and at the end of the
day, the biker with the best poker hand gets a brand new DVD player.
Tickets for the ride cost $30, which includes lunch plus an event
T-shirt. It costs $10 to enter each Show & Shine competition. All
funds raised will go to Peel Partners For A Drug-Free Community.
