NO MEDICINAL PURPOSE
RE: "FEDERAL pot gets not-so-high marks," Aug. 27. Jari Dvorak, an
HIV-positive infected man, gets pot from the federal government, and then
proceeds to have a party to "test" the marijuana. I hope that Health
Minister Anne McLellan gets a copy of this article so that she can see what
"medicinal" purposes this product is being used for. Perhaps if Dvorak has
nausea he should try a stomach remedy. It would be a lot cheaper for the
government and for our health care to fund part of the cost of anti-nausea
medicine than to fund this man's parties.

(The story said nothing about what the other partygoers were doing while
Dvorak tested his pot.)
