BOULDER HIGH SCHOOL MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE AND DEBASED
I am a grandmother from California who just heard about Joel Becker's
little speech to the "children" from Boulder High School. Not only
was his talk with them "criminally offensive," but more than that it
is morally reprehensible and debased. What right does he have to tell
them to take drugs and have sex? Children today are looking for
boundaries and leadership, regardless of what they may say or do,
just as all children do when they are growing and learning. They need
those boundaries to become responsible adults and future leaders. Mr.
(I can't bring myself to address him as "Dr.") Becker should have his
license pulled and be forbidden to practice his profession. The
administration and faculty of Boulder High School should be
terminated immediately by the school board, with the parents'
insistence, for putting the children they are supposed to be
educating and protecting in harm's way. And yes, Mr. Becker and the
entire school administration should be prosecuted to the fullest
extent of the law.
