NO HIDDEN AGENDA
Dear Editor,
This is in response to Kenneth Berg's letter to the editor in reference to Joe
Rigby and the S.F.C.I.A. (Sneads Ferry Citizens in Action).
I would like everyone that reads this to know Mr. Rigby is a highly decorated
soldier, who served two tours in Vietnam, and received two Purple Hearts.
He served his country for 34 years, and retired as a Major General.
I also served a tour in Vietnam, and only wish I could have served with his as
my commanding officer.
To say the General Rigby has a hidden agenda to cleaning up the drug problems
in Sneads Ferry is ridiculous.
Anyone who lives in Sneads Ferry, and thinks there is not a drug problem is
living in a "fairy tale world." I do not understand how Mr. Berg lives in
Sneads Ferry when he has a Jacksonville zip code and a 455 phone exchange.
I would ask if he has a hidden agenda.
There is only one side to this story, if you are a decent law abiding citizen.
I, for one, love the Sneads Ferry community and tip my hat to citizens who are
not afraid to stand up for what is right.
As a famous General said in World War II, while surrounded by Germans and being
asked to surrender, his reply was "Nuts!"
