CRIMINALIZE CIGS AND WATCH

Thanks for publishing Debra Harper's outstanding letter, Tell it like it is
(Sept. 10). Drug-related crime almost doesn't exist. What does exist to a huge
degree is drug prohibition-caused crime.

We have almost no tobacco-related crime, even though tobacco is a highly
addictive and a very deadly drug. Criminalize tobacco, and we would soon see
tobacco cartels, tobacco lords and tobacco-caused crime.
