EMERY STORY SHOWS THERE REALLY IS NO JUSTICE

Regarding the article Emery faces 10-year prison term (Jan.
15).

I am absolutely disgusted by the fact Marc Emery may be facing more
time in prison for selling plant seeds to Americans, than do some
people who have been convicted of molesting children or shooting people.

I ask all politicians to think long and hard about how something like
that can be allowed in this day and age, and to reflect on how sad it
is that we have to be kowtowing to American interests when their laws
regarding this issue are so hopelessly outdated.

It would be nice to at least see them get into the 20th century, if
not the 21st. It would also be nice to see punishments fitting the
horrendous nature of the true criminal acts.
