POLICE SEIZE 18 MARIJUANA CROPS ACROSS QUEBEC
Police seized 18 marijuana crops across Quebec yesterday in the latest
crackdown on illegal production of the plant.
The RCMP, provincial and local police forces joined efforts in several
regions, including the Laurentians and southern Quebec. No arrests were
immediately reported yesterday.
A Quebec provincial police spokesman said the plants, which have seasonal
growth patterns, were uprooted to ensure they don't grow back.
